NONYA, I dont know about in Montana, but in Idaho, state land IS being sold off. Its funny(not really) how during the last election public lands were a big issue because our now Governor Butch Otter was in favor of selling FEDERAL lands when it was proposed by the Bush Administration a few years ago...

I was on the east side of 43 this last weekend. This was my first time in that area so I mainly drove around, not much hiking. I did see about 7 does. Its definately is a good looking area and I would also like to hear from some folks who have hunted there in the past...

I work in that area for the BLM. Nice to see such a dandy buck come out of that area.

I drew the unit 42 antelope tag. Looks like OTC deer and elk again this year...

I've compared alot of binos recently and plan on getting the vortex viper 10x42's. I also compared them with the diamondbacks and personally felt that they were worth the extra $$$$.

Yeah, the draw hunt in Unit 45 is an excellent hunt if you can get it. That's probably the area that caught your eye. The area between Mountain Home and Boise on the East side of the freeway is Unit 39. It has O.C. tags for both deer and elk... I've heard good stuff about that late archery hunt in 3...

Yeah, I see there is a lot of interest in the Vortex's from looking at other posts. I got on there website and found a dealer that is not very far from me, so I'll have to go look through a pair. I've never heard of them before..
