OMG he is wider than he is tall. That is the craziest goat I have ever seen. His horns are almost growing into his eyes.

Great job chet. It looks like the scouting paid off well. I would like to see some more close ups of the trash on the horns if you get some more pics.

I know an area like that that is covered in rubs like that but once the hunts start the elk aren't usually still there. Once they rub it is time to start gathering the harems so they move out of the summer grounds a little more.

I sounds like you probably need to tune your bow. If you have factory strings on your bow they will have stretched and if you have never timed it I would venture to guess that is your problem. To see if it is out of tune have somebody draw it back and on the cam you will see where the string should ...

Yeah the follow up shot happened about a mile and a half latter and put him down quickly. It was on the same unit as mine. She got hers about 2 miles form where I shot mine. I hate to encourage more competition but hunting these antelope with a bow has been the most exiting hunting I have done yet. ...

I know where I was at I could have been wearing a pink jump suit and I could get with in a 100 yds because of the great terrain we had. That is one cool thing about hunting goats is you really have to study the terrain you want to stalk in and you will be surprised how much cover you can come up with.

the wife beat me

Well she has done it. My wife killed a bigger animal than I and I couldn't be happier. She shot this guy on the way out to leave for the weekend. She made a killer shot and still needed a follow up for reason we still can't figure out. When you hit an animal quartering away 5 inches back from the sh...
