Re: Buck Fight (Pics)

Thanks for sharing. That is too cool to be able to capture the fight on camera. It's awesome to be able to be your own national geographic photographer. :thumb

Heavy Snow Brings Deer Off the Mountain

We got slammed with 19" of snow in the last two days. Here's a pic of the house. http://www.postimage.org/Pq170bir.jpg The heavy snow brought animals down out of the nearby mountains. Here are some antelope that are about a mile down from my house. http://www.postimage.org/Pq16_bWS.jpg A mile from t...

Re: Utah turkey hunters

Hey Kinzysdad, From what I know of butterfield canyon, you can drive through it but not hunt or recreate in it. I believe it is entirely owned by Kennecot. I'm pretty sure you can hunt turkey in American Fork Canyon. I know you can hunt deer, elk, moose, rocky mountain goat, big horn sheep, and grou...

Re: Troy Christensen's 2008 GOV. TAG BUCK

I feel very fortunate to have actually seen this buck in person a couple of weeks before it was shot. I have been hunting for over 10 years and have never seen one so big in the wild. I just remember that I could not keep my eyes off of it for the whole time I was able to watch it (which was atleas...

Re: Cougar catches Mule Deer doe

I know the feeling that ridgetop is talking aboout. While looking for sheds with my then six year old boy, we came across a freshly killed 2 point buck. It had been drug into a thick juniper tree and proped up on the main tree branch. It was wedged between braches and up off the ground. As I inspect...

Re: My 2K8 Utah Rifle Muley

Congrats on a great buck. Good photos. I love the golden aspens mixed with dark pines. That looks more like a muzzle loader hunt than a rifle. What time of year was it?

Re: My hunting place

Good thing your hunting the low lands. I'd hate for you to have to bone one out and pack it out of a nasty steep canyon. lol

Re: Its here

I agree. Last year when my hunting group signed up for the dedicated hunter program it was within the first hour that the COR cards were available. We had heard that the quota would likely be filled so we wanted to assure ourselves of one of the available spot. Guess we'll have to get lucky next tim...

Re: first mule deer

Congrats on your first deer. :thumb It's a good one and an excellent one for a first buck. You should thank our wife for letting you take the camera. This was my first year to kill something while having a good digital camera in my back pack. I sure wish I had some digital photos of the bucks that h...

Re: My Brothers First Muzzy buck

Very cool. 202 yards is a great shot distance for a muzzle loader. They seem like easy enough shots at the range but they get a lot harder when they count. My brother and I both got our first Muzzy bucks this year too. My brother got his opening morning and the darn fool was so excited he just took ...
