We will wash and clean the deer inside and out then wait for a couple hours forthem to dry some befor bagging them with Elk bags...

Re: 2008 OR Muley at Taxi

I learned something on that hunt. It was opening day of rifle season (Oct 3rd or 4th). You will note that he still had his velvet. When I took him down and started to gut hime I noticed that he had no balls. We were back at camp cleaning both when a local rancher stopped to check them out. The rache...

Re: Game Cart

solid wheels (no flats), preferible removable for ease of transport. The wheels should be centered as much as possible where the game will be carried for weight distribution purposes (hard to lift and pull vs. just pull). Watch ground clearance and width for ease in area hunting. Hope this helps.

Re: MuleyMadness Roll Call

I am from Oregon and have lived here my whole life. I have hunted Elk, Blacktail and Muleys for many years. I have harvested all but a big bull elk and hopefully that will change this year. My goal is to hunt two other species in the coming years, Whitetail and Red Stag. Glad to be here and share my...

Re: How to Hunt on a Slim Budget

The biggest expenses are Gas and Food. Just make sure you have a weapon, a knife and can dress for the elements. I accumulate things all year long so that I only have to fork for gas and food during season. It is more cost effective to camp and hunt than travel back and forth. On the backend you mig...

Re: First Archery Deer

If you have the opportunity you should take it. Bend is Muley country and great elk habitat. If you want to hunt blacktail you will need to stay west of the cascades. Oregon has everything to include Black bear, cougar, whitetail, blacktail, muley, rocky mountain elk, roosevelt elk, pig, ram, mounta...
