Re: Any good fishing near Schofield?

Huntinton Res has some good tiger trout fishing. I you hit Boulger or CC Pond that time of year the fishing is fast, but the fish are going to be smaller.

Re: Utah Deer and Elk

If you don't have a specific unit you want to hunt elk in I would find out which LE unit you could draw with the fewest points. For deer the The Henrys and Paunsagaunt are tops but it will take most of your life to draw. The Book Cliffs and Vernon unit produce good bucks.

Sheep Herding

I have been out scouting for deer and found a couple herds of sheep in the area. The deer were fairly spread out but still saw a couple decent bucks. I talked to a herder who said the deer will stay fairly close to the herds due to the minerals they put out for the sheep. I was thinking the opposite...

Re: Any good fishing near Schofield?

Scofield has great fishing. There are also several lakes and streams with excellent fishing within a short driving range. Get a proclamation for regulations. Scofield has a slot size and some of the rivers and lakes are artificial lures and flies only.

Re: big dilema

I don't know which LE tag you have but in Utah LE Elk is starting to become a "once in a lifetime" in the draw process. Concentrate on the elk.
