Re: spotting scope question... need help.
I would prefer the lower power. I tend hunt terrain with some thicker aspens & pines and not a lot of open spaces. Lower power would work better for my particular application. But, if you're into the apline bowls and basins where it's considerably more open I could see where greater magnification wo...

Re: Fighting Elk
Is Hardware Ranch up in northern Utah and they take you out on sleighs to where the elk are feeding on hay bales? I remember something like that from when I was real young, but forgot about it until now!! Yeah, it's just east of Logan up Blacksmith Fork Canyon. It's a great place to take the kids t...

Re: Moose pics.
Great pics, Moose Hollow. That bull with no palming (2nd, 3rd & last pics) reminds me of a bull I watched for 3 or 4 years a couple years ago. We called him the "elk antlered bull" because he had no palming. I wonder if it's purely genetics or if it's a combo of genetics & old age?

Wow, that buck looks much bigger on the ground! (But that could just be me.)
Congrats to the hunter, that's an amazing buck.

Re: Hunts so far?
I don't have an archery tag, but I've been living vicariously through those that do... and some of stories I've heard have been great. Thanks for sharing. Any of these bucks shooters to you? Would you be happy with any of them? Regarding the picture from the original post... I'd take the middle or b...
