Re: 2010 in Montana
Very nice BIG R, lots of success this year. Love the first velvet buck with the weird back point, and that is one of the best branch antlered elk I've ever seen
It's a shame it lost it's left side somewhere along the way ![ten 10sign:](./images/smilies/smiley_10sign.gif)

Re: Venison Recipes
I've got a grinder.
Thanks BIG R, I'll give the bacon wrapped backstrap a try for sure... everything is better with bacon.![thumbs up :thumb](./images/smilies/023.gif)

Venison Recipes
Hey guys, would y'all be willing to share some of your recipes for big game. It was a good year for me with a little buck & cow elk in the freezer. I'd like to have some ideas for ways to use it. We typically go with the crock pot roast, but a little variety would be nice. Also if anyone has a good ...

Re: Is anyone interested?
I'd love to get some tips on scoring big game, especially deer & elk. I tried to score a muley buck this year just by using the instructions on the scoring sheet from the B&C website & it was difficult (of course I was using my wife's fabric tape measure... so there's my first problem). Certainly I ...

Re: Poaching losers at it again.
I find poaching to be very irritating, it's makes me mad & sick simultaneously. These guys go out and steal opportunities for those of us that go about it the right way (legally). I was fortunate enough to accompany a friend out on the Books for his rifle deer hunt & rode thru many of the areas list...

Couldn't do it this year, donated last year & we'll have to see what the bank statement says next year.

Re: Round chambered while hunting?
I have a steady group of guys I hunt with and have no problem with them or me having one chambered while were walking, still hunting, sitting, etc. Typically we chamber a round as soon as we shut the truck doors.
