Short battery life

Post by pram-z » Thu Feb 04, 2010 6:02 pm

Has anyone out there had any trouble with their Cuddyback Capture IR ?. I have been trying out some 2500 mAh Energizer rechargeable batteries, but they only seem to last about 2 weeks, and only took 4 pictures. I have done the 2727 upgrade, but seems to make no differance. I'm open to suggestions. Thanks.

My brother has a cuddyback ir and said that he had the same problem. He went to regular duracells and they lasted him the entire summer. He says that the manual says to use normal batteries. Good luck.

The picture quality is OK, I've seen better, but the stupid batteries didn't last long enough to try the upgrade I've done to the thing, I'll stop by Wally World today and get some Durecell's, and give them a whirl.

I have 3 Cudde Capture white flash models. Batteries last for months, just use
the regular duracells.

I have heard the Infrared models have had their share of issues.

Good luck.

Rechargables peak charge voltage is less then a standard battery, so if the camera needs a true 6 volt to run it will hit the bottom too soon. If your camera only needs 4.5 volt to run then the rechargables will last way longer.

Just my two cents.
