My favorite is a 2/34x Redfield widefield from the early 70's. Next is a 1-4x Redfield from the late 60's.

i really like my vxIII 4-12x50mm with a 30mm tube its great and collects really good light.. but their are better scopes by far! i would say spend as much as you can afford on a scope! its better to cut corners on the gun than the scope!! if you can spring for a swarovski - do it their awsome but man they are spendy!!

I've never owned a Leupold but I'd bet the Swarovski is no better than what you have. It just costs more!

I've looked at a few in hunting situations and the ones i've i sure was impressed with. but just the fact that they cost so much maybe it's all mental :-k but i did like them alot
