Nevada Buck, A promise kept

Post by Mularcher » Wed Oct 26, 2011 5:49 pm

For the last two years my 7 year daughter has been wanting me to get a Buck so she could have a set of antlers for her room. This year she made me promise I would "finally" get a deer for her, reluctantly I agreed and she didn't let me forget it the entire Utah archery season.
Fortunately I was able to keep my promise on my last day of my Nevada hunt. For two days I had seen a group bucks working their way up from a spring at about 1500 feet higher than I was hunting. The last evening I positioned myself between the spring and the top of this mountain, after watching elk and does pass through the area this same group showed up about 450 yards away from me I was able to get within 300 yards for a shot. I know this isn't the biggest buck on the mountain but having my daughter there and seeing her face light up makes this buck one of the most special.

Forget about the size, you made her day I'm sure. Heck probably made a lot more than her day. 10sign:

Having great daughters is truly a blessing.......I am luck enough to have two of my own. They can really get to theie Daddys heart. I am a fan of the big three point, so I think you buck and story are perfect. ------SS

Great buck, you're fortunate to have a family that gets so involved.
