Southern Utah Mule Deer Foundation Banquet

Post by ElkaHolic » Sat Jun 02, 2007 9:43 pm

The southern Utah Chapter for the MDF is holding our banquet on June 9th at the Elks Lodge in St. George Utah. 650 W. 1250 N. Doors open at 5:30 P.M. Dinner at 7:00 P.M. Seating is Limited and tickets are going FAST! Get yours today.

For ticket information Call Lynn Haas @ 435-635-3472 or 435-632-3190

We anticipate a great event with great raffle items, information and above all, opertunity to raise money for habit projects to help protect and preserve our Mule Deer.
We have many tailored Packages to fit your budget, call today and we will get you setup for this great event. Get your tickets early.

The MDF has made great strides because of folks like you. The continued growth allows the MDF to fund the projects that most benefit the Mule deer in your area. Even though the MDF has helped accomplish great things, like the 3.7 million acre public access deal and funding over 400,000.00 dollars in habitat projects in Utah, we still need involvement from you. Every dollar counts and the banquets are a great opportunity to help. It's also a great way to meet your fellow hunter and conservationist.

Thanks for your time and we look forward to seeing you at the banquet.

We raised $14,310.80 at our banquet. Everyone seemed to have a great time and I enjoyed it very much.

We had 4 tags that sold for $46,000.00 for a grand net total of $60,310.80.

I would like to thank the Mule deer Foundation for it's continued efforts in saving our Mule deer herds.

The South West Desert tag went for $26,000.00
The Paunsaugunt tag went for $15,000.00
The Southern Cougar tag went for $4500.00
and Finally the Southern utah Cow Elk tag went for $500.00

Wow, I'm going to start going to your banquet to buy deer tags. Our Arizona mule deer tags auction for about $110,000 each (and then they guy that buys it is hunting in almost Southern Utah anyway)!!

But isn't that your Statewide Auction Tag, or Governors Tag, or whatever they call it down there?

These tags aren't statewide, and the hunter must choose weapon of choice in some cases or in many the choice isn't given.

Yes, we only have the one type, statewide auction tag. I still think I'd be hard pressed to pay over 100K for a deer even if I had it! I know Utah just keeps adding more and more auction tags. I feel for you guys that are probably losing regular tags so that they can convert them to auction tags.
