DIY is hardwork but it's worth it!

Post by westTXhunter » Mon Oct 27, 2008 1:02 pm

Second trip to WY paid off. DIY and fair chase. We camped at the base of the National Forest with no roads for 7.5 miles. We hiked all day and when it started to sleet and snow he and his does were on their feet. I missed at 325yds and then got my shooting sticks and dropped him at 350yds. He was in the downed timber where it had burned years ago. It was the hardest hunt I've ever been on. I also took an antelope but, a bear in Trinidad CO wanted him more. We stopped to rest and a bear got in the back of the truck and got the skull.
