2009 So. Ut. Buck

Post by jdh » Sun Nov 01, 2009 10:28 pm

Here is a buck I was lucky enough to harvest on the general rifle hunt. Being in the 2nd year of the dedicated hunter program, and with a buck harvested last year, I was going to pass on this buck. However the more I looked at him the more familiar he got, and then I realized I had actually photographed him several times this summer some 30 miles north. So I figured it was fate and had to make it count. Hopefully I can draw a permit in another state next year or something, I can't imagine not hunting mule deer.

Jer,

Great job! I would have taken him also, crazy how far he moved and crossed.

Sweet buck, and amazing photos. I was in Kanab yesterday, I heard about your new Sunday job. :)

Congrats and best of luck. :thumb

Excellent buck, and good luck on the out of state draws next year. Idaho and Wyoming both have some great OTC hunts as I'm sure you know. ------shooter
