High and Tight

Post by northern » Sat Nov 20, 2010 7:28 pm

Well it seems like every one wants a wide muledeer. Well My wife shot a muledeer buck thats got the tightest rack i have ever seen. The rear forks would have touched if he hadn't chipped the 1 tip. I would love to see more pics of tight bucks if anyone has some.....heres her high and tight.

Very cool looking buck. 10sign:
I saw a hunting show a while back where the host took a good mule deer where the back forks overlapped. You don't see many pics of bucks like that, I'd love to see more too.

I don't think I've ever seen one quite like that.

Thanx everyone. She is really excited about the buck. She put up with some really cold weather to get it done. She has in the past always shot a tine or half of an antler off each year. This year she didn't. It's a good thing. lol .....I had seen the buck for the last 2 years, and he kept getting closer and closer. He put som more mass on this year. I had a friend that was going to bring his son out to try to harvest the buck, but 1 thing let to another and his son couldn't make it. She had only seen scouting pics of the buck. But when she seen it in person she fell in love. lol ....I keep telling her that she's going to be hard pressed to get a buck thats any closer that this 1. I need to get out top the shed and measure what distence is on the rear forks. But I know it's under an inch.
