Thanks everyone for all the comments, Shedpred, if your buddy found the sheds some 30+ miles east of town they could be the same. However I believe he was just a 3x3 last year. I'll see if I can find the pics of him.

Justin, I have used a couple different cameras from Canon Rebel Xti to the 40D. the lens is a Canon 300mm L series f2.8 lens with a 1.4X converter. Very nice set up, however it is not a super zoom lens and you still have to get fairly close to get a good picture.

Hey JDH, that's almost the same set up I use for my photos. The only difference is that I use the Xt, not the fancy schmancy Xti. Do you use manual focus or some other setting? I find that I have problems getting it completely in focus whent its manual. I try to use some of the other settings, but have issues with the camera focusing on a bush or stick in the foreground. You seem to have it mastered.
