I WOULDN'T soak the meat in Milk IMO. Works on duck meat better, but would ruin deer meat to me.

Congrats! Great buck. As far as the milk thing goes, I agree with MM, we use it on goose meat and certain saltwater fish. I have been using a lot of different soy and brown sugar combos lately. I have had people who never ate venison ask for some to bring home with them. You can always lay bacon on the steaks while they are cooking as well, that will keep them moist and impart a little flavor.

I happen to be eating Muley buck steak right now, fresh from my WY hunt. Back strap, dusted with flour, fried in Canola. Doesn't seem gammy, little chewy. :-k . I like it with 57 sauce.
Anyway congrats on your hunt, that's a nice buck :thumb You did the hunt just right. 10sign:
