I have been bow hunting the Lincoln National Forest Unit 34 for mule deer for several years. We have always hunted the January season. This year I'm considering giving the September season a go. Does anyone have any input on hunting this season over the January season. We always see deer but most are big body but young, usually the water source is pretty much every rut with melting snow etc., so the deer seem to me not to move as much once they find a food and water supply. I know water holes would be a premium during the summer. I just wanted to see what someone who may have hunted the early season thought of it over the late season. Thanks Cooper
