Nice buck. Was that in S.E.? Maybe down by Silver Lake? I saw some photo's several years ago a guy in Prineville did down S.E. of Burns somewhere. Boy he got into some nice animals. We get a few around here but not many anymore. Deer population has taken a real bad hit in the last five or six years. Lions moved in big time and killing a lot of deer. We've had eight sightings outside of town in different directions this year alone. Because of where they are in relation to one another, I think they are all different animals. One sighting just out of town was a cat with two cubs with her. A local rancher shot two about 1/2 mi out of town that had taken up residence under his house! He had the blessings of fish and game on that one.

That buck is just southeast of Baker City. Over by Pedro Mountain. Saw some other nice bucks there, but my focal was elk. Guiding a couple hunters during archery. Maybe they will have a deer tag in their pocket?
