I got drawn for Fishlake Cow Elk. Lucky me, I have been drawn three years in a row. Will be there in November.

After two years of goose eggs for any thing with antlers, I put in for all three antlerless and I escape with a late Elk hunt :>/ . Guess I gotta move out of the state to get a descent tag! ](*,)

How can you hunt spike and cow at the same time? Does the cow hunt have to be during the spike hunt?

Depends on the area Bighillhunter. Several areas have a cow hunt during the general season elk hunt and then a late hunt in November/December. The area I hunt has both hunt dates and i goose egged on both of them. :>/

You dont seem too thrilled about your late season cow hunt. Thats my hunt of choice for antlerless. Usually the animals are grouped up and you have more choices. Not to metion the snow makes it easier to track as well as dragging the meat out.

The law states you can obtain only one antler tag of the same speices and you also may contain one antlerless tag of the same speices.
