Bow Setups

Post by DBARCHER » Thu Feb 09, 2006 6:49 pm

Well ladies and gentlemen,
A new season is upon us and it is time to start toying and tinkering with your bow setups. What type of setup are you going to use for this upcoming year. I will be using a 55 pound Hoyt Gamemaster recurve, Easton Axis arrows and Magnus stinger 150 gr 4 blade. What will you be using? :arrow

Post by python101 » Sat Mar 04, 2006 8:58 am

I will be shooting a 2004 Bowtech Patriot set at 70lbs. I am using Carbon Express Terminator shafts and 75 grain muzzy broadheads. The Trophy Taker Shaky Hunter rest is a great addition to this set up as well. Iam looking for the stabilizer that wil fit my needs best now. :arrow

Hunting bow is a PSE Beast. Set at 65 lbs and shoot Beman's ICS 400 with 100 gr Thunderheads.
3-D bow is a Mathews Switchback at 65 lbs and shoot Gold Tips Ultra Lights.
Both are great bows.

I will be hunting with a Mathews LX set at 65#, Tru Glo Peep Sight, whisker biscuit rest, Doinker stabilizer, Carbon Express 350 Maxima arrows, 100 grain 3 bladed Muzzy's. I am trying out the sights and a release for the first time this year. I have shot instinctively for the past 12 years so it is going to be a huge difference. :arrow

Just switched over. Going to Alpine avalanche, 70# Sidewinder LX, Martin Hydrolic stabalizer, Gold tips 7575, and most likely 100gr montecs, or 100gr Slick Tricks.

Went from
'98 Alpine Teton Light
3-D golden rover
same for all the others.

When in doubt, floor it.
