Full Metal Jackets

Post by BowtechAdmiral » Wed Oct 28, 2009 1:42 pm

I was thinking of switching from the Easton N-fused Axis arrows to the Easton Full Metal Jackets. The ST Axis arrows are great and I got full pass through on my deer this year, but I hear Full Metal Jackets are even better. I have heard that they pull out of targets a lot easier and that they have a lot more kinetic energy behind them. Have any of you used them and what is your thought?

Thanks

I've been using the Full Metal Jackets for a while and yes they are easy to remove from targets but also Tuff, I shot through a old target bounced one off a rock I changed the tip and still shot true. They are a little heavier than your N-fused but IMO the energy down range is worth the trade off.

I cannot wait to shoot them. I am already getting ready for the 2010 season.

I love the FMJ and have shot them for a couple years now. They are almost indestructable. I say almost because They didnt fair well with rock wall I shot into by accident. woops. They have never let me down in the field. Good luck.

I was talking with one of my hunting buddies tonight. One of the guys he works with pro-formed some FMJ's. He said they are great arrows but you have to have a spin checker to check the arrows, because after a while they start to bend and no longer fly true. Anybody else ever noticed this. It would probably be more noticable with longer shots 60yards+.
