Stalking socks?
Re: Stalking socks?
See, that's the other reason I don't like taking my boots off....I hate walking circles looking for them...LoL!6x6 bull wrote:The only thing that I can add is to make sure you take GPS coordinates of where you put your boots or mark it well in some way because all sagebrush looks the same.

I took my boots off and used an extra thick pair of wool socks over my regular socks. This allowed me to slip in 35 yards on a bedded group of 4 high country Mulies. I arrowed the biggest buck which grossed 195 3/8. This tactic definitely worked for me.

I like the safari sneakers....got a pair this year cause I wasn't a fan of always having to take my boots off, especially since where I hunt there are a lot of rattlesnakes. And I must say I like them a lot and have let me get close to a lot of bucks.....and I used them this year when I got my buck. But I know a lot of guys like the wool socks and would totally have stuck with them if it weren't for those little slithery serpents!!

+1 Not a gimmickBOHNTR wrote:Definitely not a gimmick. I've been carrying around an extra pair of heavy wool socks in my pack for years now.......get within 100 yards, take off my boots and slip on the wool socks.......sneak right in to the buck's bedroom and watch his eyelashes blink!
