Hello guys I feel like an idiot for asking this, but for the life of me I can't seem to remember how to set my arrow on my bow string. What I mean is the off color fletching on my arrow should it be pointing up or down. I have a Mathews switch back with a trophy taker rest and a wrist trigger release. Today was the first time I shot my bow since dec. And for some reason I can not remember how That fletching went. My bow shot fine when it was up or down but I remember last year Someone told me it should be one way and not the other.

I have a DVD where an elk hunter and guide shoots the cock feather down through a whisker biscuit with the black support whiskers (killed 2 elk and not quickly). Not a great idea. You knew enough to ask the question so I'd be encouraged that you have good sense.

That's funny! I was just kind of going through the same thing. I have been shooting for 20 years and the last 10 I have shot 4 Fletch. I just changed to 3 fletch again and started scratching my head as well.
I started when you used a springie or a flipper, cock fletch out. Then a prong, cock fletch down. Now a trophy takker cock fletch up!

I will say this I thought I was a good hunter with my guns then I got into this bow hunting stuff and i suck. Bow hunting is hard when your A.D.D. Starts to kick in.
