I always hunt he same. When I have an animal down, either deer or elk, I have the head tested even if its not required in Colorado, Wisconsin and Minnesota where I hunt Muleys, Elk and Whitetail.
My wife is a chemist and also lived in Europe around the timeframe of mad cow. She is convinced its different but simular. She also feels it will someday find its way in humans like mad cow has. Which means in my household we wouldn't consume CWD meat. My family sleeps better knowing the animal tested ok. I don't know what I would do if the animal tested positive......I would have to think about donating the meat.
Hunt hard and sleep fast......
