I shot these broadheads at a deer this year and had no penetration! I hit the shoulder blade, but wow at 40 yards i got maybe an inch of pen! There is no way i would recommend these to anyone! I ended up giving a deer a soar leg that is probably dead due to coyotes or cougars! Nothing worse than when your equipment fails you, however i could have placed the shot a few inches right and the story may have been different. I know with a fixed blade I would have had more penetration! Buyer Beware!

I shot my cow elk last year with these broadheads and it worked like a charm for me. I shot her square in the chest from 25 yards and she ran about 50 yards and died. I also shot my turkey with them this year and i made a bad shot on it and it still only ran about 75 yards and died. I am very satisfied with them so far. I drew my archery book cliffs deer tag this year so i will have another chance to try them out.

Yeah, if you hit solid bone with mechs you can expect poor penitration. I prefer Muzzy or Wasps. I like the tricore design. The only deer I've ever killed I got with Wasps, and the first one I hit the deer with blew through both right legs, compound fracturing the rear leg. They will go through a 55 gallon steel drum.
You can stand me up at the gates of Elko and I won't back down!

Yeh, they seemed so cool to me because i thought they would fly like a field point and would limit tuning issues. I made a poor shot on the deer and know that. I just didn't like the system it didn't seem like the broadhead would open fast enough to have a decent entrance hole. All in all the blades are more flimsy than a fixed blade and less sharp!
