3 or 4 blade broadhead?

Post by MuleyFreak » Mon Jun 20, 2011 10:23 pm

Hey everyone,
I'm just wondering what people prefer when it comes to 3 or 4 blade broadheads. Any opinions are welcome just wondering what people think. Thanks

Is someone with 10 million dollars any happier than someone with 9 million?

I've never shot a 4 blade but it seems like that might screw with your arrow a bit seeing as how you probably have 3 vanes. I could be completely wrong though... just a thought. I shoot the G5 Montec, its a fixed, 3 blade and I couldn't be more pleased with it!

This will be my second year bow hunting and I am considering either the Muzzy MX-4 or the MX-3. Anyone have anything to say about these broadheads?

I used mx3 last year flew a bit different than my field points but I was shooting a really slow bow I used the compact muzzy 4 blade and I'm sold. I don't believe its the mx4 its a bit older but even with the slow bow I had at the time they flew just like a field point.

I HAVE USED THE 4 MX4 FOR YEARS AND LOVE THEM PLUS MUZZY HAS THE BONE SPLITING CAP THAT DOES DAMAGE I WOULD RECOMEND THE 1 1/4 RED ONES MORE CUTTING DIAMITER

AS long as they are tuned, the four blade will be an advantage as more flesh is cut. I have hunted with three blade Wasps but this year I have some Muzzy 4 blades hanging around and I like the assembly better. Plus, the Muzzys have a practice blade. 10sign:

I would never recommend a 4 blade broad head.

Here is one of the best studies done on broadheads anyone that shoots a bow should read it. Then do a search on Ed's name and read the rest of his articles on archery.
