Antlerless Hunts

Post by sneekeepete » Mon Jun 01, 2009 7:07 am

So who is going to apply for some meat tags? I am applying for Antlerless elk since I didn't draw my LE bull tag again.

Antlerless moose, antelope and elk. It's a great outing for the kids and also great to get some meat in the freezer.

I'll take a cow tag any day as the ratio between bull and cow is somewhere in the neighborhood of 1:1,000,000,000,000 in most areas I've hunted lol
It ain't the size of the gun but the placement of the bullet.

Found out yesterday that I drew out for antlerless elk and doe antelope. Should be some good eating this winter...that is if I can fill my tag. Anyone out there know anything about the Utah, Plateau antelope doe tag? Good luck to everyone.

I'm getting an over the counter elk archery tag this year for Co. After stricking out last year on everything(hard to admit) I,m not gonna be real picky on male or female. I'll take a cow over a young bull anyday. I like to see um grow up even if I don't get to harvest em. I mean, I like horns but I like eating too.

Unsuccessful here as well. I was hoping to be able to put some meat in the freezer this year, and was hoping to be able to do it without all the crowds during the general season elk hunt. I guess I am stuck with another spike tag again this year.
