Re: Best whitetail to date taken in Texas panhandle
Jeff, guess what truck got me to that buck?
Already put 11,000 miles on it since I bought it from you in....April (I think)....although I have had one trip to the body shop thanks to the "friendly" Colorado rocks while archery elk hunting.
I guess they call it a "rocker" panel for a reason!

Re: Best whitetail to date taken in Texas panhandle
Well, I wrote all the details down and when I tried to post them it lost connection. I hunted this ranch last year and took a smal buck and a doe. Nothing special but I was still learning the ranch. This ranch encompasses about 960 acres in two seperate tracts of land. Most of the land is wide open,...

Best whitetail to date taken in Texas panhandle
I shot this buck near Canadian,Texas on thanksgiving weekend. I have seen bigger on this ranch that is owned by a good friend of mine but this one presented a shot at 80 yards, no way I could pass it up. http://i219.photobucket.com/albums/cc249/a3dhunter/jasonbuckresize.jpg http://i219.photobucket.c...

Re: I need experienced Mule Deer hunters help!!!!!!!!!!!
It is possible to hunt Colorado or any other state out west without having preference points. The fact is that you have to do some research and find which unit require o preference points to draw and then hunt hard. Without preference points, any unit will be crowded depending on where you hunt. Get...

Re: COLORADO DOW BIOLOGISTS STUDYING MULE DEER AGING
I got my return envelope in the mail yesterday.
I'll participate if I harvest a buck, give them all the help I can.
The packet contained a letter stating the above, and a return envelope along with a harvest card for information about your kill.

Re: RIFLE RECOMMENDATION
I've been using 30.06 my whole life, but I've also never had to buy a rifle. I would look at a 300 mag or 7mm. The 300 will give more recoil, somewhere between 23-25 ft. lbs with the 7mm being between 19-21 ft. lbs with most loads. (unless you go with an ultra mag) The good things about the 30.06 or...
