Here are some pictures of the deer I shot last year in Colorado Unit 21. I had a real kick in the gut this year after missing a fairly easy shot at a 5X5 bull during archery season, so getting this guy back eases the pain just a bit.

170 > Rifle
150 > Bow

I'm still waiting to get this one back from the taxidermist. I got him on opening day, 3rd rifle season, Colorado Unit 21. Green Score - Gross 184 4/8's, Net 179 6/8's.

Thanks. I'm not very good a field judging a deer in velvet, but the last one looks like he's pushing 160" to me. What do you think?

Joe, Welcome to the site. Most CO units during rifle season will be crowed if there's easy access and you don't hike away from the roads. Ruger M77 in .270 - I use the Hornady Light Mag. loads in 140 grn. and have taken 7 deer and 3 cow elk - all one shot kills. Check out the ballistics on the Hornady Light Mags - you'll be impressed.
