Re: Lion meat

In Colorado a lion is considered a biggame animal and under the same laws as a deer or elk. You must salvage all pieces of edible meat. Never have ate any myself but me and my buddy are going to cook up his lion from last year one of these days.

Re: COYOTEMASTERS COYOTE CALLING CHAMPIONSHIP

Prize money for the Worlds isn't very much. Last years winners only took home a little over $1,000 each and they took 17 dogs in a day and half. Not bad for doing something you love but not enough to retire.

In southeast Utah there is no season and you don't even need a small game license to hunt them. I'm not sure about the rest of the state though.

sorry BigBuck92, been busy for awhile. I bought one in a .204 a couple months ago and I couldn't be happier. I did hear a rumor that they are going to make one with a detachable magazine versus the standard blind box which I think will be better. But everything about this gun is perfect for predator...

Alot of the old time cowboys claim to have seen grizzlies all over Colorado in the late 1800's and early 1900's. A pinto colored grizzly gained quite a notoriety around Norwood, CO in the 30's or 40's. I think the last documented kill of a griz was in the Weminuche Wilderness in 1979.

I use the RX-II and when it works, there is nothing better. It is kind of tempermental at times and the TBR won't work for archery beyond 50 yards. Other than that it is great. The actual range has never failed to appear, just the TBR.

I read that when Warner Glenn treed his first Jaguar, it would have been perfectly legal to shoot it. At that time they had never been put on the endangered list in the states. I also believe he was instrumental in getting them put on the list in either 1998 or 1999.

I have always heard that the best way to call bears is to spot them first then call. They say it is possible to call them in blind but you better have plenty of wind as you have to constantly call. I think Wayne Carlton put out a video on calling bears and it is available at Cabela's.
