if ur with a guide it will probably go ATV from basecamp to spike camp and then horses up to the elk with alot of leg work. But if ur goin recreational unless u can have a horse stick to the atv, and remember u need a mountain horse thats been in the outdoors alot, if he gets lost he's done, and if ...

Man i wish i lived in alberta, i'm in the kootneys to the west. Man i'm feeling that wide spread bull, all the elk hear are spooky after the first shot so u got to go high up to the plateaus and leave all the timber rats to themselves, there are some big guys in that low stuff but very spooky.

sold the 7mm now got the sako finlight in 300. win mag with a zeiss scope ontop. Probably gonna be the only gun i use for the rest of my life. 3 bullets in a 1 inch space at 200 yards. The 7mm was a little light.

Mendles, they're $500 canadian but worth it. [-o< no need to take off boots when crossing creeks, and if they get wet just take out the inside dry it off and pop it back in.

naw used a 300 weatherby, even more power on one but the bullets i use are handloaded and these things fly at 3500fps so they got right throw with little entry and exit holes, but because of this u need to hit the thing in the shoulder or ur chasing it around cus the bullet doesn't do alot of damage...
