330 yards on a 2 by 2 whitetail, first deer with my new gun so i just let fly with a 150grain barnes x and that thing dropped like a sack of potatoes.

guys if ur shot is 0-300 yards u dont need one, and most guys dont feel confident with shooting out past that, unless ur carrying a 50. cal U should know how far the animal is, if its an incline or a downward shot, and how much ur bullet drops at 50,100,150,200,250,300 yards. My 2 cents

I'm feeling that last buck. :)) Neighbor got a monster this year at his cabin in williams lake. 27" 8 by 6 non typical. My largest buck, 24" 4 by 4, shot last day of the season in november in 3 feet of snow. that was one cold buck when we went and loaded him into the truck the next morning
