I first read "Rainbow Bridge" last April when I lost my 13 1/2 y.o. chocolate lab. Can't even bring myself to read it now; hopefully not for a long, long time.

Man...Shelby is a good lookin' pup Concerns me you pointer hunters getting so close to them birds though; what if they flush toward you and poke an eye out or something ??? Chasing a flusher and lettin' 'er rip ....now that's tons safer
