Since we have been talking about fishing!
To say that I started early, maybe an understatement. This picture was taken by my mother when I was about 5 in Yellow Knife, Idaho, primitive area. As you can see, Mom dad and myself "tented" it, grub boxes and sleeping bags. What you don't see in the picture is Dad out-of-frame holding the salmon...

NONYA -- At what point to the Walleye get "soft", weight wise? I've eaten many many of them, mostly in the 2-3lb range. The meat is firm, and tasty, I just wondered if the bigger ones got that "fat" taste, like a Lake Trout or the bigger Strippers. The Strippers have the problem of the dark stripe ...

Do all barrels on Remington 700's have a "pressure point" along the barrel or are some of them with "non-standard" stocks fitted different (free floated). If some of them don't have the pressure point along the barrel do they a heavier barrel contour? I did away with the "hump" on the stock of my Re...

Dad shot this buck back in 70' or 71', I wonder what it would have scored? It measures 31" in width, the base is right at 5" in circum., what other dimensi...

They look like bluegill, I was just hoping that you wern't calling them "walleye". How big do they get. The one's we get around here for the most part are about 1/2lb. at most. however the crappie down at Lake Powell (in their hay-day) ran 2 - 3lbs., nowdays they run about 1 to 1 1/2lbs.. Their also...

I'm pushing 60 now and my eyes simply aren't what they used to be. I put the finest glass I can afford on all my rifles. The last glass I purchased was for my Savage 12FLV in .308win. It's been modified slightly, with a Choate stock and a few other goodies. I saved for nearly a year to purchase a Le...
