Just One Last Time!
I haven't been around for a little while. Been a little busy this summer. I'll start by saying, I haven't drawn out for a big game permit in over 10yrs now.. I used to hunt the Bookcliffs. For more than 30yrs, our family, and about 8 or 9 other families and their kids drove 200+ miles from SLC, star...

Many years ago, Dad was hunting near the Flaming Gorge area before the darn was built. The country is very easy to get turned around in and hard to find your way thru. Dad had gotten up and walked out of camp. Dad was raised a hunter and trapper, but that day he did get turned around. But, after sho...

Lake Trout, Mackinaw..... and the Utah record is well over 50lbs. killerbee ----- Quote-------------- "The cool, clear depths o...

Aren't those nasty fat fish? I thought they were fun catching, as long as they were in your size range, any bigger and they were just a big log, especially if the bladder came out from being to deep. The only way I've found to cook them is smoking them, letting them drip the fat out of them and smok...

I can't tell you about the biggest, but the shot I'm proudest of is one of nearly 600yrds. using my .270win with my hand loads (130gr Sierra BTSP, over 59grs. of H4831). I layed down over a big boulder, mostly level ground. I'm pretty good at judging distance and counted off the 100yds at a time to ...

After nearly 40+ bucks, I can usually pick the one that I want, or don't want. I never have been a head hunter. Just the nice buck. I started hunting deer when I was 13, dad let me pull the trigger on a buck the year before I was legal, don't tell. I have hunted every year but the last 2 and for 14 ...
