Re: Back From Colorado High Country
You're an amazing hunter. Don't beat yourself up over it too much. I found a beauty 4x4 (heck they're all beauty's to me) laying dead just a few yards off a forest road in Idaho one year. It makes you wonder how many deer are lost each year. Like others said, if it does end up dead it certainly won'...

Re: skunked so far
Good luck to you. Idaho was tough hunting for me this year also. Missed two on the run and got beat by some smaller bucks and only one "dandy" that I spotted on private property... just one of those years I guess. Just about every Idaho muley I've tasted has been absolutely great. Here's hoping you ...

Re: Best Hunt Ever
Thanks for sharing such an awesome story. There's nothing quite like the first deer hunting experience. It's hard to beat being able to tell that story together for years to come.

Looking for an outfitter...
My father and I are considering a Canada hunt with a guide/outfitter. We are open to suggestions on different states/areas also. I'd like to see my old man get something he can put on the wall before time catches up with his body. We are looking for something in the 3-4k range, and not trying to bre...

Re: POST YOUR 08 MULEY HERE
Well, I hunted the Sawtooth mountains in Idaho again. This was my 3rd year out there and I think I've finally started to learn how to hunt this terribly steep country. Luckily I only had to put about 20 miles overall on my feet. Nearly half of previous years. (I don't spike camp into the far back co...

Re: Winter: How bad was it?
WillysDad: That mortality rate sounds pretty bad to me. What was the source of that information?
That is unfortunate because I really, really like Idaho. Could wolves really be responsible for so many deaths?
BTW: MuleyMadness - I like the site/forum update. Nice and clean.

Winter: How bad was it?
This topic has probably been covered well but now that people have been out scouting I want to ask.
Did the winter take a toll on the areas that you hunt?
Are you seeing less older or younger deer?
Thanks!
