Re: Cactus Buck
Yeah, that's weird......cool photo though to document him and his progress. It will be interesting to see what he's going to grow into.

Re: CA Wild Hog Hunt (Pic)
The meat is awesome. Not sure about bacon, as I got this hog made into sausage (breakfast & jalapeno) and some chops. Always good! Almost all quality hog populations are on large tracts of private property. Some allow trespass fees to hunt them. The cattle ranch I hunted is 257,000 acres (Tejon Ranc...

Re: CA Wild Hog Hunt (Pic)
No, it was a frontal shot (staring me down). Usually don't take those shots on other critters, but they work very well on hogs at very close range. About a grapefruit size area to hit, which isn't too difficult at 16 yards. They die quickly with that hit.......and you don't have to worry about the a...

CA Wild Hog Hunt (Pic)
I was able to get away for a few days last week here in the Golden State and do some wild hog hunting. I got lucky, as the weather cooled a bit for the hunt so it wasn't too unbearable. I spotted this big ol' hog and was fortunate enough to sneak out in front of it and wait as it fed towards me. As ...

Re: Draw Results
Many (not all) states are required to place all pending draw money in a non-interest bearing account.......which essentially means it is impossible for agencies to "make" money from the pending draw process.

CA Turkey (pics)
Got back home last night after venturing to the northern portion of the Golden State......I was hunting turkeys with two buddies from the area with my bow. Hunting was a lot more difficult this year, but plenty of gobblers to be seen. On Saturday, on the way back towards the truck, I spotted this go...

Re: MULEY CONFUSION
Muley Stalker brings up another good point, which is why I asked about weapon preference. There are extremely limited opportunities to buy a tag over-the -counter for rifle /muzz tags. There are a few options for archery, but most of the West is a draw system. Having said that, there are units that ...

Perhaps this post (link below) may help a you a bit? You have a total of 6 posts, 5 of which is on this thread alone. Perhaps a little more participation may yield some better results. Also, you never really stated what weapon you use (rifle, muzz, archery). A few more specifics in your post(s) may ...
