Re: Opener Thoughts? Utah Rifle
I have heard a lot of the same reports from people on the pine valley unit. People just are not seeing that many deer in general. I went out on the opener and wasn't disappointed but then again the places that i hunt you usually don't see a lot of deer anyway. I think it is going to take some time f...

Re: Most accurate muzzleloader?
I shoot the same as derek only i use 90grns of loose pyrodex. They are all starting to get easier with the cleaning with the different breech plug designs coming out. The triumph has the breech plug that you just twist by hand about 45 degrees or so and it removes. One of the CVA rifles has a simila...

Re: Most accurate muzzleloader?
Depends what you mean by accurate to. To me accurate is being able to 3 or 4 shots under an inch at a 100yds were some others think its putting 3 or 4 shots on the side of a refrigerator box. Just sayin. I shoot a TC Triumph that i have been quite impressed with. When i first got it I put a 3-9x sco...

Re: help
Doubt your gonna have anybody just come and tell you about there spot to hunt. Your best bet is to just go and start trying in some places. You can find them almost anywhere.

Re: 243 good for muleys?
I use the .243 for mule deer and hit hasn't let me down yet. It really comes down to shot placement. 100grn work very well on muleys. Sierra recommended their 85grn game king bullet for mule deer. I was suprised to hear that but i thought i would give them a try. Thats what i have been using for the...

Re: Scope or No Scope in Utah
I was wondering the same thing about 4 years ago. I tried every 1x scope that i could find to see which one that i liked. It came down to the Nikon and the sightron. I ended up with the sightron and i love it. It tightened up my groups a lot. Here is how i see it. With the iron sights they work but ...

Utah could have their own state gun
I just read this on KSL.com. What do you think? I think that would be cool.
http://www.ksl.com/?nid=148&sid=13561290
Its too bad Mr. GUNN is opposed to the idea of having a state gun.

Re: Coyote Rifle Suggestions
Tikka or CZ both make a great rifle. My favorite for calling so far is my CZ 527 chambered in a .223. Its a short action and very accurate. IMO its perfect for calling. The Tikka is a cheaper version of a Sako IMO. It has a very smooth action and very accurate. Whatever you choose make sure it feels...
