Usaully once I have found out where the deer are I give them about a 5 to 6 travel range, assuming they aren't under pressure from ATV's. Then just keep hitting those south facing slopes, and ridge tops. I'm not sure where your from but here the deer are always found on the south facing slopes that ...

Right on I love finding them right next to each other. I can't tell you how many singles I have that I can't find the other side to. I knwo nobody else has them because I'm the only one who goes into the area.

I'm not saying to use an ATV is wrong, believe me everyone who owns one would much rather beat those down the road then their pickup and I'm the same way. I will take my ATV on the road to where I want to hunt and then park it. The people I'm refering to are those who are running the ridges and grid...

My best advice for some one who wants to start looking for sheds is to do your homework. In December and January you need to be out there with a spotting scope looking to see where the deer are so once they have dropped their horns you have it narrowed down to where you need to start looking.
