I will be trying unit 27 in a couple of weeks should be a pretty fun hunt. Lots of rugged country up there maybe I can get away from a few people and find a decent bull. I am going scouting over the labor day weekend I will let you guys know how it went when I get back.

I know there are a few deer near Idaho City if you are not after a monster. Pretty much anywhere you go you should run into deer. Try the arrow rock area late in the season if we get any weather to push them down at all.
