Re: suggestions?
Hunting in CO was basically rained-out and the deer went into deep cover. CO experienced horrible rain the week I could go so I left plenty for ya'll. Rain does decrease activity and is a mental note I've made.

Re: Cops poach Elk
Just reported on the news that cop#1, the non-shooter, agreed to 6 misdineanor (is that a word?)charges. The hunter of the non-injured trophy is awaiting his trial. Maybe cops should obey the laws we have to? Just a crazy thought. Respect the resource and the law.

Re: Mule Deer Summer Patterns
Worth another try as deer don't bump other deer from favorite spots. He'll be back and grand on the BBQ!
Also, do you have a decoy to distract the little ones on their way or can you get in earlier?

Re: MuleyMadness Roll Call
newbie to this great site!
Hunt CO for mulies/elk and NE for whitetails. Lots of treestands and ground blinds. Love scents/decoys/Nugent. Many hours observing reactions, sunrises, sunsets. Willing to toss ideas around!

Re: Mule Deer Summer Patterns
I agree with previous recommendations. If not disturbed they will also use the same bed and favorite shady spot in the mid-day if you might know where those are.
Good luck!

Re: suggestions?
great suggestions guys and confirrmed my thoughts. Trying some whitetail tactics and will report back. Muleys are nomads and short of the rut are as unpredictable as my wife! Expecting a challenge and believe there's got to be a way to sucker them. I'll bottle it if found......
Thank you

suggestions?
Anyone have ideas for CO mountian muleys? Older guy with ground blinds that hunts Ea CO and SW NE from trees mostly. Any ideas to drawthem in are appreciated. New experience for me. Decoys, scents, water? South of Gunnison
