That rattlesnake was actually dead when I found it along the side of the road. I think a hawk or some other animal killed it because it didn't look like it had been run over by a vehicle. So after I realized it was dead I positioned it with a stick and took a few pics. Really wierd...

ABert is right. I live in Texas and there is no public land and most people will not let you hunt on their land for free because of liability reasons. The cheapest way would be to find a ranch that allows "day hunting". By "day hunting" I mean the landowner charges you X amount of dollars for huntin...
