Re: Idaho draw results are out!!!

Killer, I just sent ya a PM but it's Unit 11, right across the Snake River from my place. OH MAN!!! Hawk, my father-in-law lives in Lewiston. He runs Blue Cross of Idaho for that region. He hunts birds everyday during the bird season in that unit. He knows some serious honey holes for mule deer. He...

Re: Life long rifle hunter--going archery!

Hey guys...I passed the "strenuous" bowhunter education field day saturday. It was the biggest waste of time ever. They had us sit through the 3 hours of hunters education where they talk about animal identification and then safety and survival. Then we had to listen to a bunch of stats about the de...

Re: Life long rifle hunter--going archery!

Thanks everyone for the advice! I will make a trip to the pro shop and see what they suggest for me. Then I will get serious about finding a bow by the end of the month so that I will have time to get comfortable with it. I will probably shoot it everyday once I get one so that i can be sure I will ...

Life long rifle hunter--going archery!

Hey guys and gals. I have hunted with rifles my entire life. I have never archery hunted. This year I decided to try archery since my wife is expecting a baby right during the normal elk hunt. I want to be done hunting and back home well before the baby is due, so I figured, what better time than no...

Re: ??????

I have been in and out all spring (cause I don't care too much about the shed hunting threads). Now that the drawing results are starting to trickle in and people will soon be out scouting and taking pictures of the summer growth, I am here!

I will have to read it. Is this a general season or is it a draw?

Re: Hummingbirds - 2008

We have a bunch of butterfly bushes, some honey suckel, and a huge trumpeter vine which all attract the humming birds. We had our first visitors this weekend.

Good shots Brett!

Re: Wolf in Wa

looks to me like a "multiple-exposure". Wonder if this was a digital camera or a 35 mm trailcam? When you click on the picture and enlarge it, it appears that the color difference follows the line of the tree trunk behind the wolf and the stump behind the wolf's head appears to change the color ther...

Re: got a johnny stewart wireless predator e-call for my B-d

I went out on sunday afternoon to the Bennett Mountain area, souteast of Mt. Home. Saw one yote on the freeway just before Mt. Home, then the first draw that we walked over to, a dog ran out the bottom at about 550-600 yards. Thought about shooting, but I didn't want to spook any other dogs in the a...
