I did this twice last year, once on my archery buck and once on a buddies rifle buck. It works very well and there is virtually no wasted meat. It is much cleaner and is supposed to be very helpful on larger game, like elk. Hopefully I will get a chance to try it out on a big bull this year, or a sm...

I have had great success with the Badlands packs. Hauled out several muleys and have not treated them the best, no problems at all.

The good news is when you do have an "Accident", they have an unconditional lifetime warranty.

I put a pretty strong helical on all of my vanes. It allows me to shoot a shorter vane which helps to offset the loss of speed, which is pretty insignificant anyway. What you gain in accuracy more than makes up for the small loss of speed.

While it might be large enough to fit your basic stuff in it. I prefer to have a pack that is large enough to allow me to take the first load of meat out on my back. It does seem small to me. Great concept though.
