Re: Trying to elk hunt in Utah
Thanks for the info! I'm not 100% sure yet what I'm going to do yet. I will definetly take your advice though and hopefully at least learn some more about the big guys and how they live. Cause I know they're a lot different than deer and that's all I've ever hunted before. So we'll see when June 17t...

Re: 2009 Wifes first deer
Hoping that this year she'll be able to get a bigger one. She drew a Central rifle tag again and I got an archery tag. So we should be able to get some nice ones! And he has been really good eating! BBQ backstraps....mmmm.

2009 Wifes first deer
This is the deer my wife shot in 2009. It was her first deer and is a 17" 2x3 that she was thrilled to get! On his two point side they are spades which was kinda cool. Hope the pictures upload right! I'll get some more pics up soon hopefully!

Dang......what are the odds of that happening?! But you can probably say you're the only one to have a trail camera pic of a mouse!

Re: When do you begin scouting for the new season?
I usually start just getting out in June but then start hitting it hard in July. But even before that I like to just get out and hike around a get used to the area again. I usually hunt in generally the same area though so I have gotten pretty used to it...guess it just depends on how much you want ...

Re: Utah remaining permits have been posted.
Can't believe that.....luckly I put in for it and drew a tag. My buddy is going to be bummed cause he always relies on being able to get an over the counter archery tag!

Trying to elk hunt in Utah
Hey everyone! Just wondering if someone could give me some help with this. I've been hunting deer for a couple years but never been elk hunting. Would like to get into this but I don't know a whole lot about them since all my friends and family hunt strictly deer. I was wanting to buy a any bull tag...

Re: MuleyMadness Roll Call
Just found this site a little while ago and excited to talk with other hunters! I'm a Firefighter/EMT here in Utah. So on my off days I love to be up in the mountains hunting the big muleys! Still trying to get a big one with my bow. Found out that I drew a tag this year so the hunt is back on! Foun...
