'07 percusion muzzeloader. My best buck to date, scores around 170". I was eight months pregnant at the time.
Very hard to stalk in that condtion! lol

Tough way to end a hunt. Simaler thing happened to me a few years ago. I had a broadside shot at a 5x5, took it, but my arrow was deflected a little by a unseen branch. Nope, no deer tag. And wouldn't you know it thats about all I have seen so far this season. #-o Just last Saturday I jumped a couple of real nice bucks, had a 170" buck not 40 yards from me, just had to enjoy the moment.

Little lesson learned

Just though I would share a learning experiance from this last week. I am hunting elk, but this involves deer. It was late in the morning and I was headed back to the truck, running late of course (promised to be back to the house at a certain time). Anyhow, I had been hunting around some safflowers...

My mother-in-law was cleaning the closets and came accross a bobcat rug and elk hide that she wants to get rid of. The elk hide is soft tanned and measures 64" X 55".
