What kind of hunting rig you drive?

I drive a 2000 Jeep XJ Cherokee. I'm getting ready to do some mods to the cooling system such as an all metal 3 row radiator. Suspension, engine performance, and cosmetic to follow as funds become available.

Best Western Big Game Website

I have been on the internet for several years and have enjoyed the availability of the forums of several hunting related sites. I have to say that MM is the best one out there. The people that frequent this site are the best of the best. I have developed many email friends from my participation on h...

Re: Nosler or Barnes?

I'm a Barnes monolithic guy all the way. The way the tsx cuts is more like a broadhead wound than a traditional bullet wound. It just kills better. A 180 grain 30 cal bullet fired at 30-06 velocity doesn't take as good a bullet to hold together as it does from a 300 Ultra Mag velocity, so it would h...

Re: Just call me wierd!

MM, No, I don't mind you asking at all. I attended a Missionary Baptist college and a Southern Baptist seminary, but I have served in some non-denoms also. If they preach Jesus then I'm for them. I don't care what they call themselves. That attitude has caused me some trouble in the past with some, ...

Just call me wierd!

So what does a preacher do to relax on a Sunday afternoon? This one re-sizes, hand trims, mic's, and primes cases in his study. It's amazing the stress reduction that all of that brings. Now back to the study part. Carry on. lol

Re: 30-06 load

DO NOT I Repeat DO NOT use the Nosler Ballistic Tip on Antelope! I shoot a .30 caliber rifle 165 grn BT and they blew massive holes in the Antelope. I literally gutted one after i shot her at 100 yards through the shoulder. That bullet is way too much for antelope. Unless all you want to eat is bur...

Re: Barnes TSX question?

Up to 68 grains of IMR 7828 ssc with no pressure signs at all. Loaded 5 and put 4 in the same hole and one of my special flyers to mess up the group. I will bump to 68.5 and 69 to find my ceiling knowing that 68 works well. BTW 66.0 and 67.0 groups were around 3/4". Did you chronograph them? I've o...
