Re: Fires

So far it's not changing any of my hunting plans, however the Wolf Den fire in the Bookcliffs burned right through some of the area I work in. So at this point I'm more concerned with the fires taking away my paycheck than I am about hunting season.

Book Cliffs Buck

So I am lucky enough to have a job that puts me out in the book cliffs for 8 days at a time and I LOVE it! The down side is that 90% of my time is spent in a pickup...... Today I saw a buck that I had seen only once before. The first time was last month and he was pushing 28-30" wide and had almost ...

Re: Mulies and bird seed

Used to just put bird seed in an old red wagon in the yard because the deer would tear down the bird feeders, and piles on the lawn would sprout when spring came..... Careful what you start though because soon enough you'll have more deer than wagons. fun during the rutt though for sure!

Re: Domestic Sheep???

IMO dont waste your time hunting where the sheep are. We had a prime hunting spot about 8 years ago that held a lot of deer and elk. A few years ago they started summering sheep in the area and we noticed a great decline in the number of mature bucks and bulls. Lots of does and fawns, cows and calve...

Re: Buffalo Grass

Greatest country singer there EVER was! It was a sad sad day when he all too soon left this life. This is one of his best songs, however "The Ride" is my favorite, Such a great story teller! Miss u Chris!

Re: Ruger SR9

I have never shot an SR9,but I have a ruger .22 and bought the wife an LCP for Christmas and both shoot great. Personally however I prefer my Springfield XD40 and would recommend it to anyone looking to buy a firearm. It is extremely reliable and I have never had a single problem with it.

Re: Unreal - Game Officer Shot Dead

Do the world a favor and take this guy out into the woods, tie him to a tree, and smother him in all of the yummy stinky stuff ou...

Real or Fake?

First off let me start by saying it's good to be back. I've been put through the wringer the past year and am finally starting to get my life back in order. So, a friend of mine sent this to me. I have a hard time believing it to be true, but i'd like to hear some thoughts on it. I am used to being ...

Re: Major deer and elk hunting changes (in utah)

I just dont know!! Some things I like about it and others I dont. Most of all I dont like the new rules and regulations every year!! They complain because the younger generations arent hunting as much, Well, I wonder why when they keep changing things and putting that bad taste in everyone's mouth!I...
