i have too amny favorites....lets start with my AR10 .308 with match barrel and floating sotck with 4x16x50mm smithfield generation II scope for elk and deer, before that i used a hand me down .308 savage 99E lever action. For varmints a .223 WSSM Browning A-bolt.

hunt the great salt lake and pinnies are common occurance....you might even get a stiff tail (old squaw) if your lucky.

head to the henries but be prepared to hike alot as many easy finds will be gone as soon as they hit the dirt....lots of competition but a good location to find some good quality

i dindt see a buck the whole muzzy hunt. The area i usually hunt had a fire last year and must have pushed everything out of the area. Did see some good bulls though and found an elk shed as well. =]

as a past guide i have seen too many people even with fairly good shot placement wound elk with lighter calibers. 30 cal minimum is what i would recommend to any for elk. Deer are no problem for those calibers if the range is shorter. With people nowadays thinking they can shoot anything within a 10...

i have had a polaris and the maintenance was terrible just to use it from year to year. Recently borrowed a Honda for 9 days up in Idaho hunting whitetails and loved it. They have only put new tires on the thing since they have owned it and it was a great machine. My next ATV will be a Honda

I also hunt Norhtern Idaho and it does have alot of open public land fourishing with white tails.
