I don't know if you have tried the Moultrie M80, but I just bought one two weeks ago and deployed it for a week. I set it on video mode and they claim the AA batteries will last a year. Even if they last three months it's better than the older D40 Moultries running D cells and last about a month. I ...

Curing elk meat

If I am successful killing an elk this week end, I plan on quatering it out then packing it to the truck. I have a fridge on my back patio to cool it in and was wondering how long I should leave it there before I butcher it?

If you hunt from a ground blind, kneeling position is a must. I stand behind a tree, so I mostly practice from a standing position. Consider how you hunt and you'll answer your own question lol
